Subterranean By Design... ---Midday Walk--- 2004-04-03 - 3:45 p.m. So I had to take advantage of the beuatiful weather that we're having today. I took a little walk, by myself, to the softball complex which is located near my apartment. I brought along my CD player and listened to Three Dog Night while I was on my stroll (they are an excellent choice for a lazy solitary experience). I don't normally take walks on my own, but I couldn't help it today. The weather has been heating up, and soon there should be some buds sprouting. Went to Maggy's last night and sang a little kareoke. There was a lively crowd there, and many people were dancing, so I had to pick a song that wouldn't clear the floor. So I sang "Chantilly Lace" by The Big Bopper, and it went really well. It was a change from all of the modern stuff, but people were still able to dance. Half the battle at kareoke is picking a song that isn't going tobomb on its own. For instance, though "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by the Hollies is a great tune, it wasn't the time or place to sing it. After picking the right song, the rest is up to you. Wrote the preview of Tigers Weekly today, and have already begun to get responses. I am currently listening to the Tigers on MLB radio. They are leading the Yankees 7-6 in the bottom of the 8th, but the Yankees have something brewing. Strange that the Yankees, having played two regular season games (in Japan), are now playing a preseason game against the Tigers. Probably good for the Yankees to get back on schedule in the States. The Tigers start in Toronto against Roy Halladay, who had an ERA of less than 1 against Detroit last year. Ugh, 4th error of the game, and the Yankees have the bases loaded. A sign of things to come, I'm sure.
