Subterranean By Design... ---Thanksgiving 2005--- 2005-11-23 - 12:08 a.m. Thanksgiving is just a day away so I had better take a look at my life and figure out everything that I'm thankful for. I have been healthy this last year and haven't sustained any knee injuries. The old trick knee has been acting up less lately, though I don't put an unneccesary amount of strain on it. It's been strong enough that I can play underwater hockey, broomball, and some baseball on it. Basketball and racquetball are off-limits probably for the rest of my life, but that's no big deal. My brother got engaged this year to the lovely Collins Foscue, so I will be gaining a sister-in-law this May. I'm fully convinced that I was placed into the best family a guy could ask for. While some people dread family get-togethers I look forward to them and enjoy myself to the fullest. If you don't have family in this world, what have you got? Almost every prayer of thanksgiving that I offer includes a mention of my fam. While I have had no luck this year in passing qualifying examinations in the math department I still have my assistantship and many friends in the department that make my time at MSU enjoyable. For a bunch of math majors we have a lot of fun. The underwater hockey crowd offers another distraction for me and they are good people. My wonderful girlfriend Lia has now admitted to being associated with me for three years. She continues to be my best friend and gives me comfort and is a true confidant. There is much for me to be thankful for. I have been given so much. If I could only give back to the world half of the graces that I've received I'd go down as a saint. I should really make a better effort to give back, for that theif in the night may come at any time. --- Song Currently on WinAmp: Zombie by The Cranberries. I love the Irish voice of the singer of this group. It's entirely haunting. I initially disliked this song but came to love it. It's a classic.
