---Spring Break---

2004-03-09 - 3:46 p.m.

So I am now into the middle of my spring break, and it has been rather relaxing. I have been able to get a little bit of work done, and have just taken it easy. I spent the weekend with Lia and plan on going home this coming weekend to see the folks, who are getting home from a cruise (I will bring home a load of laundry for mother to remind her what she's been missing with me gone these days). Maybe I should be past that at this point in my life... but I'm not.

Saw Miracle today. That was my first 12PM movie. It was a little strange coming out of the theater to greeted by a sunny day, but it beat what I would have been doing (sitting around the apartment and vegging). Fitting for this time, Father Dave has weighed in with a good post about being slothful. Also in good recent posts, Sam "Plato" Nicholson has posted a short truth that I have been subscribing too since my freshman year at the Dale. I have been pretty absent in the blogosphere as of late, but it's not like there are that many people that have noticed. No matter, I write this thing for myself (call me Ivan Drago) and a short list of people that are important to me.

I am a little dismayed that I'm not doing anything terribly exciting this break. Last year...well I didn't do anything then either. But I had gone on a weeklong trip over Christmas break. This year, I spent all of that vacation, save a week and change, studying for that qualifying exam (at least it paid off). On the adventurous side, though, I plan on attending an underwater hockey tournament in Guelph, Ontario. A testament to my sheltered American life is that Guelph will be the farthest out of the USA that I have ever traveled. Should be good, I just hope that I don't die of exhaustion. I played in the MSU tournament last year and it was rough.

Tomorrow I hope to be in Ypsilanti hanging out with Jimbo, who happens to be the man.

Maybe it would have smarter to join the Moose Lodge. I'll stick with the Knights of Columbus, thank you.
