---Skipping Class---

2004-03-03 - 10:42 a.m.

Well it's been a good week. I spent the weekend in Hillsdale, for the most part. Friday night I helped Rick and Sarah move into their new house, and then hung out with Rick, Werner, and Gilbert. Good times. When I got back to the apartment, the guys were hanging out with the freshmen skanks. It was a hilarious scene, but things turned not so funny when one of the skanks and Andy's drunk friend got in a tussle over the legendary Ghostbusters hat. I had to step in and make sure the goods remained intact. Have parties in my apartment until 4AM when I have to be on the road by 9:30...fine. Touch the Ghostbusters hat and prepare to pay the price!

Met up with Dallas and Anthony in Hillsdale around 11AM Saturday morning. Lunch at Cavoni's, and then D and I played at the basketball game. It was an ugly sight. We were pretty spoiled our junior and senior years with good guys and girls teams. This year they both looked awful. Both teams lost, but it was good to play one last time with the likes of Michelle, Jeanna, Derek, Nate, and Will Hill. After the games, D and I went over to Galloway to play some Tecmo. I played about 6 games and I think I went 4-2. Mind you, I played with the Colts every game and losses came against the Steelers and Chiefs. The latter loss was a B.S. 20-14 OT loss, where his first two TD's came on completions in triple coverage, the second coming on the last play of the game. The whole stretch, I didn't get one turnover that I didn't force due to flea flickers. It was a rough go. Lucky for me I never had to be the Colts in a season.

That night we (me Dallas and 'Twan) went to Reading for dinner at Ray's. What a place. I had the double chesseburger with grilled onions. Sloppy and good. When we got back to Anthony's, I ran out of gas (from the short night of sleep I had) and went straight to bed.

I went to Mass with Michelle in the morning and saw Dr. Moye, Melinda Dille, and Dean Peterson. Also saw Dr. V. but didn't get to talk to him. Oh well. Had lunch at the Hillsdale Garden. Saw Fr. Tom there and the janitor that was always working while Ciofani and I were working and used to talk sports with us. He was like "where's your tall friend?", solidifying the fact that Ciofani and I were the greatest 1-2 punch to ever grace Hillsdale College.

Sunday evening I finally got to spend some QT with Lia. We took a walk and watched some of the Oscars. I think that we fit dinner in there somewhere. It was a nice way to end the weekend.

Monday at bowling I bowled my best series of the season (513) but botched a 200 game in the last game. I needed 9/X at least to get the 200 and I threw a 6-7-10 split with my first ball in the tenth. It wasn't that bad of a ball either. So I finished with a 187, and I was extra pissed because Kathy Owens (whose team we were bowling against) rolled a 200 on the nose and their team beat us all three games. I've never felt worse after bowling 513. But after bowling I had phone conversations with Lia and Ciofani (who went nuts when I told him the janitor story) and that cheered me up.

Yesterday centered on my codes homework. It was hard. I couldn't get one part of a problem.

Monday I got my complex exam back and received a disappointing 77%. There was one problem that I thought I had nailed, but had, in fact, bombed. 2 out of 20! So instead of the 90 that I thought I might got I got the old Rick 77. Oh well. I can come back.

Time to get to class. I don't want to skip both in one day (that's 33% of my classes for the week!). Hahaha.
