Subterranean By Design... ---Merry Christmas--- 2003-12-26 - 12:56 a.m. YO! It's been quite some time. Or at least it feels that way. Monday I studied with Ahmet and then bowled. Only Nate and I showed up, so we had to forfeit all our points. =-( However, I bowled a 505 series (172-154-179), won two bucks from Kathy Owens, and won the 10 dollar prize for most pins over average on my team. Also, this guy in our league, Ruben, rolled a 300 game. I figure it'll my turn next week. After bowling I met up with Boddu and Andrea Drauch. We chatted it up a while at Maggy's and then parted ways. Tuesday I woke up feeling pretty sick. I packed things up and drove home. I wasn't there long, as my mother hauled my bro and I to the mall for some last minute shopping. Then we went to Nethers to wrap some presents, play some cribbage, and feed my brother's tuna obsession. Upon returning home I took a nice little nap. Then I went to Rick's to play cards with the boys. I won about nine bucks. It was great to be there with everyone: Rick, Gilbo, Brady, the Werners, Steve and Tom Sprague, the Casslemans, and Derk. I brought a carton of OJ and drank the whole thing while there. On Christmas Eve, I woke up feeling rotten. I couldn't sleep well, as my feet refused to warm up, and the sickness kept me in and out of consciousness. I struggled through the festivities, trying to keep my happy face on. I had to take a nap after the present opening (that can be exhausting enough, even when you're not sick). I spent a lot of the day sucking on lozenges and popping pills. The family was there and it was good to see all them. Mom, Brian, and Lisa went to midnight mass, but I stayed home and zonked...but after a call from Lia, which was something that helped me greatly. I put a heating pad on my bed and slept like a baby. Today I had the cold sweats, but I think that was my body finally winning. We had dinner here with Nether, Mim, and Uncle Kevin. Tonight we were at Aunt Kitty's for her annual party and I saw a lot of the O'Toole clan. That was nice. Time for bed. Merry Christmas.
