Well I had a really nice night last night at the lanes. My girl was in attendance, our team took five points, and I bowled the best I have all season.
My ball felt extremely light last night, which allowed me to control it much better. I think the fact that it's been out of my car for several days helps. I rolled 164-189-151 for my first 500 series (504) of the year. I talked to my dad last night and he said that now they are going to be coming easy. I hope so. Lately I've been tearing it up at league. The first half is over now, and the scores are reset for the rest of the year. I could have hit a 200 in the second game, but I needed a double in the tenth and only got the first strike. However, I needed two marks in the 9th and 10th to get the 500 series and I was able to do it, so I bowled well under pressure. Or maybe it's just that Lia is my good luck charm. I doubt, however, that I can convince her to come every week. Oh yes, and I won two of the three games against Kathy Owens.
I'm also feeling great because I got a 3.5 in my analysis class. That's the grade I was really hoping for. I put a lot of time into this class and I have a nice mark to show for it. Now if I can nail this numerical qual then I can focus on the analysis qual in the fall. But really, I'll have two tries to pass the analysis, as I don't plan on taking any quals next winter. Passing this test in January would be, in a word, nice.
Song Currently on WinAmp: "Uptown Girl" by Billy Joel. While I'm not the biggest Billy Joel fan, I've always liked this song. It's one of those true 80's tunes (along with "For the Longest Time"...both off An Innocent Man) and the Chipmunks sang them both, so I was introduced to them at a young age.
