---Blogging---

2004-02-10 - 1:51 a.m.

So far on my blogging adventure, I went from curious investigator (after Phil's e-mail pointing out the blogs of Jake Allen, Prizio, and Kirsch Daddy) to rabid poster, to sporadic observer. The feeling that I'm having now is the one that I had at the very onset of this adventure (which isby no means over). Blogging is a great way to keep yourself accessible to others and to keep tabs on folks that were once a more integral part of your life. It has allowed me to keep in touch, big time, with Phil and Anthony. With blogging, I've read tons of articles that I would have never taken the time to even find on my own. And most importantly, I've been able to get some ideas out that I wouldn't get off my chest otherwise. It's pretty fascinating what can come out of you when you sit down at the keyboard and you just start typing away. Letting the mind wander is like letting a child play in a field. The child will discover all sorts of things that it couldn't find in his house, and he will...what the hell am I saying? This post has ceased to be cool. Blogging can be some serious bullshit sometimes. One big problems is there is nobody to tell you to stop when you should.

Song Currently on WinAmp: "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins. No not WinAmp, but an 80's CD. This song makes me want to dance (look out world). OK, now the song is "Jump for my Love" by The Pointer Sisters. I have a much better story about this. Last year, my friend Dana and I were playing Name That Tune at MSU, and our team made the finals. It came down to individual competition, and you needed four points to win. After sweeping "Hungry Like the Wolf" by Duran Duran (you got a point for being first to name the artist and song) this song came on. I was able to get both right, but Dana beat me to the punch on the title. So I had three points and she had one. Well the next two songs were rap, and this black girl who had ridden my coattails to the finals swept them both and I lost out. So Dana inadvertantly screwed me out of the win (I was going to give her the top prize stereo anyway, as I had one), but I was most annoyed that I lost to an unworthy opponent. Life isn't always fair.
