Subterranean By Design... ---Abracadabra--- 2004-06-22 - 1:48 p.m. Strangley, that has been the song I've heard most while traveling back and forth from Birmingham this summer. I have been kept at bay, in the blogging sense, by the fact that Diaryland is always bogged down when I try and add an entry. So I am sneaking one in here at work. Teaching is now half over, and I'm glad for that. I am thinking that next summer I will not teach off campus, and enjoy the extra time off (another four weeks). The money is nice, but it would be grand to be able to make some summer plans. I really can't imagine a life outside of academia where I would work a full time job in the summer. I believe I would go nuts. The last two days I've felt like I have a rock lodged at the base of my esophogus. The food continues to go down, so I guess I'm ok. I haven't been punched in the diaphram in a while, so it must be something internally awry. Another beheading today from the terrorists. They have theirs coming to them. And there are just some stances that are indefensible. I drive by this rest area all the time! Good thing my girl lives close enough so that I never have to use the facilities. Seriously...
